英文科研论文写作注意事项

  最近借了一本书《The ACS Style Guide-Effective Communication of Scientifiv Information》(3rd Edition)该书回答了我们在写英文科研论文时遇到的普遍问题，现将回答本人在写英文论文时疑问的原文（蓝色）罗列如下。

 

1.关于用现在时，还是一般过去时的问题

P43: Present and simple past tense may both be correct for results, discussion, and conclusion. However, the use of present or simple past tense for results, discussion, and conclusion should be consistent within a paper.

 

2.数字和其后单位之间是否需要空格？

P203：Use numerals with units of time or measure, and use a space between the numeral and the unit, except %, $, º(angular degrees), (angular minutes), and (angular seconds).

〔也就是数字和%, $, º(角度), (上角分)和(上角秒)之间不用空格〕

3.数字是用阿拉伯写法，还是英文字母写法？

P203：With items other than units of time and measure, use words for cardinal unmber less than 10; use numerals for 10 and above. (也就是10以下数字用英文字母数字写法，10和10以上的用阿拉伯数字写法)

                          three flasks      30 flasks

Spell out ordinals "first" through "ninth"; use numerals for 10th or greater.

                          third flask           12th flask

     同时，文中P204提到，如果是要表达一系列数字，其中含有10及其以上数字时统一使用阿拉伯数字；在文中句首数字用英文字母写法。
